My first internship at Lexus Indonesia

Right now, I'm a trainee at Lexus Indonesia.
work in the Sales Operation department,
and will be here for the next 2 months.

I am very happy and honor to get a chance to work in this company, and
meet a lot of good people with various characteristics.

I've been working in this company for almost 3 weeks,
learned so many things, including values and ethics.
The people here are very nice.
They are kind and professional.
The way they dressed every day, very neat and clean.
It reflects that this company has good quality workers.
The workers here,
or you could say; my co-workers
are very hardworking. wow
I've never seen them doing nothing within the working hours.
Even though it was already past the working hours,
they will stay if there's still work to do.
very persistent.
They are also generous to each other,
and some of them are also very funny hehe.

one day,
I heard one of their conversations. very funny one.
it was more like an old joke.
There were like 4 bapak-bapak.
They were talking about people who have the ability to see ghosts or supernatural beings.
atau biasanya dalam bahasa indonesia, orang INDIGO.
bapak 1: "lo, lo pada denger kan tentang bus berhantu,
masa kata orang indigo, di bus itu banyak loh hantunya"
bapak 2: "indigo apaansi"
bapak 3: "itu yang ada dirumah rumah"
bapak 124: ????? *confused*
bapak 3: "indihome..... HEHEHE"
*indihome itu kayak sejenis television server or provider laah

and I was like, laughing inside.
you wouldn't understand it at first,
but later u realized that it was very funny,
their reaction was so innocently funny.
they may seem very serious when working,
but they also know how to have fun.

One thing about this company is that,
They care about every people that were involved in the process.
whether it is the customers or the workers.
They keep everything very professional,
they have high-quality services, and most importantly
they focus on continuous improvement.

sooo
what did I do in the Sales Operation (SPVLOG) department?
what are my jobs?

In conclusionnnnnn,
Sales operation department handles things from A-Z.
Starting from A; selling the products.
until Z; distributing the product to the customer and
take care all the customers' documents.

what did I do for the past 3 weeks?
auditing.
I scanned all the documents (documents from 2018 until 2019).
and then, I made the report in the Ms. Excel,
and then stored all the documents in the storage room,
which located in a different office building.
I also learned about other things here,
including how to make a payment bill,
operate the program, and make a delivery request.

My main office is located in Menteng, Central Jakarta.
But for almost a week, I had to go to the other office,
that is located in Sunter, North Jakarta, to store and organize all the documents.
Although it is very faaaaaar from my house,
I could say, it was the most fun things I've ever done in my entire life.
It's a whole new experience for me,
meeting new people who work in different places and areas.
But yeah, It was also very tiring,
because I had to organize all the stuff there, and
carry all the documents which are very heavy into the container.
But its a part of a job right? being tired? hell yeah,
I have to be grateful for this opportunity.
A lot of people wanting to get a job like this.
So, I shouldn't be complaining,
and be more grateful and enjoy the moments.

It was all become easier because I have my co-worker/closest friend in the office;
Kak Siska,
who guides me and helps me in everything I do in the office.
She approached me on my second day in the office and invited me to eat together
with the other 3 friends; Kak Nadia, Kak Kiki, and Kak Yulia.
They are very kind to me, they helped me a lot, give me support and
advice.
Thanks to them, I could survive here and do better in my works.
I want to say thank you to all my supervisor who helped me for the past 3 weeks.
Mba Nana and Teh Disha.
and most importantly
Pak Adrian, Bu Nisa, Pak Dedhe, and Bu Saski,
for the opportunity to let me work
in this amazing company.

This internship makes me realized,
this is how it feels being a worker/employee in Jakarta.
I also realized that this might be what my parents going through a lot,
and being a worker in this big city is a very damn hard and also very tiring,
especially when your house is far from your office.
It takes almost an hour or maybe more than an hour
to get into my office from my house.
It's very tiring but fun as well,
cuz it's all a new experience for me.
But imagine being a parent as well as a worker?
It must be so tiringgggggg+++++
I felt sorry for both of my parents,
that I sometimes fight and argue with them, especially
after they got home from work.
They might feel so stressful because of their works
and yet I made them stressed.

During this internship program,
I got home almost at 8 pm every day.
I got tired very easily and sleep as early as I could.
But imagine being a working parent,
you cannot sleep immediately.
there are still a lot of things to do when you get home.
Either taking care of your children or taking care of yourself.
I am very grateful for having parents who are care and patient
even though, they must have been very busy.

In the end,
I hope, I could help everyone in this company,
and learn something here.
Thank you for this opportunity, Lexus.
